Letter From Turkey

Constantinople, Turkey,

Oct. 26, 1922

      Dear Ones at home:

I'm writing to all in one letter. I'm feeling fine and in excellent health. Everything is very quiet.
Constantinople is a great place, its very interesting, and generally speaking, very ancient.
At present most of it is under British and French control. However the Turks are still in power and have there own government.
There are troops here from England, France, Italy, United States and Canada.
Thrance, a short distance from here is claimed by both the Turks and Greeks and that is the section the fighting is on.
We were assigned on arrival, station ship duty and remain at present in Constantinople.
Generaly we are allowed liberty during the evenings and its quite a treat to visit the city and see how things are carried on.
Now its getting late and I'm sleepy, was on duty until 2 o'clock last night.
Don't feel any anxiety over not hearing from me, remember no news is good news, I'll write as often as possible.
Trusting all are in good health.
